WE'VE just strengthened our ties with Grimsby-based St Andrew's Hospice by agreeing to provide bottles of water for free at the charity's fundraising events.
The hospice provides holistic care for adults and children from Hull, East Yorkshire, North and North East Lincolnshire areas, and is looking to raise £2.5 million to redevelop its facilities.
We already provide drinking bottles at the hospice, which are placed in each of the rooms for the patients.
You'll be able to see our water at lots of the charity's events during the year. Perhaps those taking part in the Widower Challenge on 22 March at McCormack's Bar, in Cleethorpes, will need it to put out the fire from the curry they will be attempting to eat.
The curry is thought to be the hottest in the world and the chefs making it will need to be wearing goggles and a face mask.
The participants from the hospice's annual sleep walk event and the first 'toddlers plod' will need to be rehydrated; as water is very important for all ages.
Adrienne Hodgson, St Andrew's Hospice representative, said: "This is a wonderful offer from Countrywise and shows how local companies can support the hospice in many different ways.
"The hospice receives very little funding and relies heavily on local supporters, to ensure we continue to make each day count."
