This Sunday we'll be supporting Hull & East Yorkshire Mind when volunteers from the charity will be handing out 250ml bottles of water - donated by us - along with leaflets on the benefits of water to people suffering with mental health.
Not drinking enough fluid has significant implications for mental health, and the early effects of even mild dehydration can affect our feelings and behaviour.
An adult loses approximately 2.5 litres of water daily through the lungs as water vapour, through the skin as perspiration and through the kidneys as urine.
If you don’t drink enough fluids to replace this loss then you will get symptoms of dehydration, including irritability, loss of concentration and reduced mental functioning.
Sunday is also World Water Day which aims to make a difference for the members of the global population who suffer from water related issues.
Hull & East Yorkshire Mind was founded in 1976 and has more than 30 years' experience in providing mental health services to people in Hull and East Yorkshire,
Mind will be at St Stephen's Shopping Centre this Sunday (22 March) from around noon until 3pm.
