Countrywise Water Coolers, the region’s leading supplier of plumbed-in and bottled water coolers, has teamed up with the Humber Street Sesh to provide chilled drinking water to all visitors and staff to the event, which takes place on 2 and 3 August.
The aim is to reduce the amount of single use plastic waste at the Sesh by replacing all plastic bottles at the event with bottled water coolers and fully recyclable paper cups.
Humber Street Sesh is an annual live music event taking place at Hull Marina in Hull’s former fruit market district. More than 30,000 people are expected to visit the event over the course of two days.
This year’s line-up includes the likes of The Hunna, LIFE, Yonaka and The Blinders on Friday night, while Saturday will be a day for more live music, and local food and drink.
Countrywise Water Coolers is a family-owned business based on Dairycoates Industrial Estate, in Hull. Established in 1991, Countrywise distributes natural mineral water and recyclable cups to businesses in every market sector in and around Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, Derby and Nottingham.
Countrywise is dedicated to its ongoing commitment to reduce its carbon footprint by running hybrid delivery lorries as part of its 14-strong fleet of vehicles.
The whole bottling process takes place at Wolverton, near Church Stretton, in Shropshire, where 99 per cent of all packaging is recycled, and where a carbon neutral biomass system is used for hot water and heating. In addition Countrywise’s plastic water cooler bottles get used up to 50 times before being recycled.
