Well done to Hull from everyone at Countrywise Water Coolers for being named the City of Culture 2017. We've been blowing the city's trumpet for years (we were established here around 20 years ago) so it's great that 'Ull is in the news for all the right reasons, and will be on the big stage in just over three years' time. The city will stage a ?12m programme of arts and cultural events during 2017, including 25 major festivals and spectacular opening and closing ceremonies. The programme will include more than 1,500 individual events and 12 artists_ residencies; which will help bring in tourists, investment, attention and confidence. 
If you're coming to Hull, we're on the right about halfway between the Humber Bridge and the city centre _ although it's doubtful you'll actually be able to see us but give us a little wave anyway. You can follow Hull 2017 on Twitter via @2017Hull and #hull2017.
